As the world’s first major bank to go carbon neutral HSBC will be taking a keen interest in the green credentials of all the business start ups submitted by our Unipreneurs. We’ll be looking to see how you intend to run your business so that it makes the minimum impact on the environment.
HSBC's commitment started in 2005 by switching to green energy sources and reducing its overall usage. Worldwide, its operations contribute zero net carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere. HSBC have also run a range of green initiatives including its Green January Sale and have a variety of special offers such as discounts off renewable electricity for personal banking customers.
HSBC Climate Partnership
Working with some of the world’s leading environmental, scientific and wildlife organisations HSBC have put together the HSBC Climate Partnership, a 5-year programme that aims to have a positive impact on climate change in a number of key areas.
